TSR Online+

TSR Online+ is a Texas School Ready implementation model that started in the 2015-16 school year. Public school districts and charter schools that would like additional support for their prekindergarten teachers are eligible to apply for those additional support services through a competitive application process. Through funding from the Texas Education Agency, the Children's Learning Institute (CLI) provides the necessary training and materials included as part of these additional support services at no cost, but CLI does not reimburse public school districts or charter schools for the time or expense incurred to receive these services. All school districts and charter schools who receive TSR Online+ resources must adhere to certain requirements. All Texas public school districts and charter schools are welcome to apply.

Funding for TSR Online+ is provided by the Texas Education Agency is contingent on final funding authorization from the 85th Texas Legislature.

TSR Online+ Application

The TSR Online+ Application for 2017-2018 is now closed!

We are awaiting final funding authorization from the Texas Legislature, expected soon, before announcing awards for TSR Online+ for the next school year so we can award services to as many school districts and charter schools as possible.

TSR Online+ Tools and Resources for 2017-18

Texas school districts and charter schools will have the opportunity to apply for the following TSR tools and resources for the 2017-2018 school year through TSR Online+:

5 Sessions of Remote Coaching

TSR Online+ provides 5 sessions of individualized, data-driven, coaching for a teacher; the coaching is tightly connected with professional development content and is delivered by a specially-trained TSR remote coach. The goal of this coaching support is to help teachers improve their practice using targeted tools and methods to meet each teacher’s specific needs in the classroom. In the TSR Online+ remote model, coaches communicate with teachers via Skype, web postings, and by phone, providing guidance on the teacher’s own recorded instruction. Teachers can review feedback through annotations made directly on their videos, as well. Coaches also share other videos of effective teaching and set data-driven goals with the teacher for instructional improvement. Video-based coaching increases TSR’s capacity to serve classrooms in communities with limited access to quality improvement opportunities by eliminating the costs associated with travel to remote schools.

School districts and charter schools requesting remote coaching through TSR Online+ must specify the number of teachers they would like to receive this coaching support.

Registration for TSR's Beginner and Advanced Coaching Workshops

TSR Online+ provides free registration to TSR's Coaching Workshops that will be offered during the 2017-18 school year. The three-day workshops use the research-validated Texas School Ready Coaching Model to improve teacher and child outcomes. Participants will learn data-driven approaches to improve their coaching and maximize instructional impact using the TSR tools hosted on CLI Engage. The coaching workshops are designed specifically for staff who are currently serving in a coaching or mentoring role for pre-k teachers. All participants will be required to complete online prerequisites before attending the training. The beginner coaching workshop is designed for new coaches or those with little direct coaching experience, while the advanced coaching workshop is designed for coaches who have several years of direct coaching experience. Through TSR Online+, participants will receive free registration, but their school district or charter school will be responsible for any associated travel costs.

TSR Beginner Coaching Workshop: November 13-15 in Houston

TSR Advanced Coaching Workshop: March 5-7 in Houston

School districts and charter schools requesting registration for the TSR Coaching Workshops through TSR Online+ must specify the number of staff (working in a coaching role) they would like to attend the beginner or advanced coaching workshops.
